Last updated: 29 June 2026

1. General

This cookie policy (the "Cookie Policy") governs the use of cookies and similar technologies as part of your use of our website leisurepoolsbenelux.be (the "Website"). The processing is carried out by Leisure Pools Benelux NV, as data controller, with registered office at Nieuwlandlaan 57, 3200 Aarschot ("we", "us", "our"), registered with the CBE under number 0526.828.477, in accordance with applicable data protection legislation (including the GDPR).

Cookies are small text files that are stored on a device's hard drive and contain certain information, sometimes including personal data. When you use our Website and/or services, we also collect and process personal information other than via cookies. If you would like to know more about this, please read our Privacy Policy. You can change your cookie preferences at any time, as set out in this Cookie Policy.

We reserve the right to amend, supplement or replace this Cookie Policy from time to time. Such changes will be brought to your attention via our Website and, where legally required, we will ask for your consent again.

2. What are cookies?

In addition to "classic" cookies, we sometimes use similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage. In this policy, we refer to all these technologies as "cookies".

We distinguish cookies according to:

  • Origin: first-party cookies (placed by us) and third-party cookies (placed by third parties, such as Google).
  • Lifespan: session cookies (which disappear when you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which are stored for a certain period).

3. Which cookies do we use and why?

3.1 Necessary and functional cookies (no consent required)

These are essential for the Website to function properly and to store your cookie preferences. No consent is required for these.

3.2 Analytical cookies (consent required)

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our Website so that we can improve its operation and content. We use PostHog (European hosting) and Google Analytics 4 (loaded via Google Tag Manager).

3.3 Marketing and advertising cookies (consent required)

Note on hosting/CDN cookies: our Website runs in a Next.js environment. In certain cases, the hosting or CDN provider may place technical cookies that are strictly necessary for the operation and security of the site. These fall under the necessary cookies (section 3.1).

4. Google Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2. The behaviour of the Google services (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, loaded via Google Tag Manager) is adjusted according to your consent choice:

  • If you do not consent to analytical or marketing cookies, these services do not place identifying cookies. In that case, Google only receives anonymised, aggregated signals without personal identifiers.
  • If you do consent, the relevant cookies and measurements are fully activated.

This way we respect your choice and our measurements remain in line with applicable legislation.

5. Offline conversions

If you consent to this (opt-in), we may use offline conversion tracking. With this — only after your consent — we link certain data (such as a request or agreement concluded offline at a later stage) back to the original online interaction, in order to measure the effectiveness of our advertisements. If you do not consent, this processing does not take place.

6. Storage of data in Odoo

The data you provide to us (for example via a contact or quote form) is stored and managed in our Odoo system (Odoo Online, provided by Odoo S.A.), in order to handle your request and manage our customer relationship. The production data is hosted within the European Union (data centres in France and Belgium). This processing falls under our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclosure to third parties and international transfers

  • PostHog is used by us with European hosting, which means this analytics data is processed within the EU.
  • Google (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads) may process data on servers outside the EU, including in the United States. For such transfers we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses (SCCs).
  • Odoo (hosting): the production data is hosted within the EU. Back-ups are kept within the EU; until our hosting provider's full EU transition is complete, one back-up copy may temporarily be kept in Canada, which is covered by an adequacy decision of the European Commission.

8. Managing your cookie preferences

On your first visit, we ask for your consent for non-necessary cookies via our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" button at the bottom of every page (in the footer).

In addition, you can refuse cookies or delete already placed cookies via your browser settings:

Please note that refusing cookies may cause some or all functions of the Website not to work properly.

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, please contact us at info@leisurepools.be.

If you remain dissatisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels. More information: https://www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be
